Christmastime in Nashville

So now that December is here (which I'm still having issues accepting), it's time to take part in some of the area's holiday festivities.  Aside from your obligatory typical/boring work Christmas party, there are some great sights around Nashville to help you and your loved ones get in the holiday spirit:

Opryland Hotel

If you have not been out to Opryland for Christmas- GO! It is an ABSOLUTE must see. Millions of lights fabulous Christmas decor, and horse drawn carriages cover what in my opinion is one of the most beautiful sights in the city. The hotel is impressive on its own, but the holiday decor puts a different twist on the scenery, and it is a sight you just can't miss. Tip: If you park in the mall parking lot you'll save $25 in parking fees that the hotel charges to park in their lot, it's just a short walk down the sidewalk to the hotel. A bit of advice, be mindful of where you walk in - the hotel is huge and can be slightly confusing to return to where exactly you entered.

There are a few other attractions in the area: ICE! Featuring Frosty the Snowman, and the Radio City Rockettes Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  I've only done the Rockette's showwhich is mildly entertaining, it's one of those shows that doing once in my lifetime will suffice.  If you haven't seen them, and uber cheesy holiday performances are your thing, you should definitely check them out!  Rumor has it that ICE! is a fun time and absolutely worth seeing.

  2. Thanks! I am a fan of the We Are Nashville t-shirts. They are comfortable, fit great, and support the flood victims. Their website is: http://store.coolpeoplecare.org/collections/we-are-nashville. Hope this helps :)
