JACKSON'S Bar & Bistro

Looking for a fun bar/restaurant to hit up this weekend?  Ever been to Jackson's?  If not, it's high time you stopped in for a visit!  Jackson's was one of the very first places I grabbed a beer in Nashville over 6 years ago and I've been a fan ever since.  They say it best on their website: "Jackson's offers lunch, dinner and late-night dining along with Saturday and Sunday brunch in an eclectic, upbeat, come-as-you-are atmosphere.".  Good food, great drinks (interesting cocktails/fabulous beer selection), and the eclectic crowd for people watching sum up just a few reasons why you should give them a try.  In the warmer weather months, they offer a very open-air type environment and they have an excellent patio area as well.

I just went to Jackson's this past Tuesday (on which by the way.. most beers and wells are 2-for-1 all day/night) to catch up with friends over a few drinks and was reminded why I love the place so much.  We were provided excellent service and the food was as good as ever.  Some of my favorites:  The Beer Cheese Dip, Buffalo Feathers Salad, Croque Monseiur (try it with syrup), and the Chicken Salad Torrado.  In fact, I could keep listing things to try as I have never had anything I didn't like on the menu.. so I'll go ahead and stop.  If it is your first visit - there is one menu item you absolutely CANNOT miss, my self-proclaimed "best dessert in Nashville"- the Cookie Dough Eggrolls.  Chocolate-chip dough flash-fried in a pastry with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream - words truly can't describe how good this dessert is.  Must. Try.

Jackson's is located in the Hillsboro Village area of town so when you're done you have plenty of shopping/other bar options.  Be sure to check them out and let me know what you think!
